Many women, losing weight or after a pregnancy, find that their breasts have lost their volume and their skin elasticity. Consequently, the breasts become droopy.
Rectification and breast augmentation is done to lift the nipple and change the shape of the breast without changing the overall size of the breast.
ΤThe goal for the Plastic Surgeon is to lift the nipple and the massive gland, removing the excess skin that results in scarring. The shape and length of the scars depend on the degree of the fall. It can only be around the nipple (perianth), inverted T (anchor shape), or only vertical (L shape).
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia (neuroleptopathy, hypnosis). The procedure lasts up to 3 hours depending on the problem. The patient leaves the clinic on the same day wearing a sports bra.
The scars are red and hard for the first 2-3 months. In the healing phase it is always recommended to use Fraxel Restore and silicone sheets, in order to get the best healing, which is usually after 6-10 months.
The first 5-7 days’ edema should not worry you, after all the final shape and chest feel become apparent in the first 3 weeks. Complications such as necrosis and nipple hypersensitivity are extremely rare.
